Foundation in Food Hygiene
The Royal Institute of Public Health Foundation in Food Hygiene Certificate is offered by FCNA.
This is a one day course and training can take place either in house or at FCNA offices in Bolton.
This level 1 qualification is designed principally for those who are, or intend to be, food handlers. A food handler is any person, in any type of food business, who handles food, whether open or packaged (food includes drinks and ice). The aim of this qualification is to provide a basic knowledge of food hygiene.
The course covers both requirements from Care Standards for care staff and Enviromental Health requirements for catering staff.

A complimentary copy of the 64 page 'Food Hygiene Handbook' is presented to each candidate.
